Dr Esther grew up in Washington state. She somehow made her way down south and attended Lipscomb University for her BS degree. She then headed back west and completed her DDS at The Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry at the University of Southern California. While there she ran the pediatric mobile dental group, AYUDA, which organized monthly local clinics for lower income populations, both locally and abroad through out the year. That’s when she fell in love with pediatric dentistry and realized she couldn’t imagine doing anything else.
Dr Esther moved back to the great Pacific Northwest and completed her residency in pediatric dentistry at the Oregon Health Science University in Portland, Oregon. While in residency Dr Esther participated in several research opportunities, and worked at Doernbecher Children’s hospital and worked with medically complex children, treatment planned cases with the craneofacial teams, and grew her knowledge and experience in dental treatment for the pediatric population with sedation and general anesthesia. After completion of residency Esther stayed in the greater Portland area for several years working in a small town in southern Washington, spending her free time exploring all the mountains had to offer, from hiking and back packing to rock climbing and snowboarding.
Dr Esther moved back to the Nashville area after meeting her late husband, Joshua, on a dental mission trip in Guatemala. She now lives in Nashville with her daughter, two sons, and their chickens.
